On 30 December 2025, “Zhoghovurd Terti Khmbagrutyun” LLC published on its official
website: https://armlur.am/ a news article and a video presenting its content entitled “Why is Onex
Misleading People?” (hereinafter, the “Article”).
The statements contained in the Article, particularly those concerning the activities of Onex, did not
correspond to reality and negatively affected the Company’s business reputation by introducing it as an
entity that violates the law and misleads consumers.
For the purpose of protecting its rights, Onex applied to AM Law Firm, whose team, led by partner Vanik
Margaryan, initiated the relevant legal proceedings. The case was handled directly by lawyer and advocate
Hayk Barseghyan. A retraction text was prepared and a demand was submitted to “Zhoghovurd Terti
Khmbagrutyun” LLC requesting the retraction of the false information; however, the demand was not
fulfilled.
At the next stage, a claim was prepared and filed to the court, requesting that the defendant be ordered to
publicly retract the factual statements contained in the article published on 30 December 2025 on
the https://armlur.am/ website that constitute defamation. At the same time, AM’s attorney submitted a
motion seeking the application of an interim measure, requesting that the defendant be obliged to remove
the publications published on 31 December 2025 on the Facebook and Instagram social platforms
through the relevant links.
The court accepted the claim for proceedings and satisfied the submitted motion, ordering the defendant to
remove the aforementioned publications from the social platforms. This decision is of significant
importance in disputes relating to damage caused to honour, dignity, and business reputation, ensuring
that, through an interim judicial act, it is possible to limit the further dissemination of information that
does not correspond to reality until the issuance of the final judicial act.
