The Court of General Jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan, chaired by judge David Balayan, rejected the motion submitted by the investigator and did not extend the detention of the defendant of Davit Hunayan, partner, advocate of “AM”.

It should be noted that the investigator had submitted a motion to the court to extend the detention for two months.

The court took into account, among other reasons, the arguments of “AM” lawyer Davit Hunanyan that the body conducting the proceedings did not show the necessary diligence to ensure the investigation of the case, moreover an artificial basis was created to justify the extension of the term of detention of D. Hunanyan’s defendant, which was recorded by the court.

Thus, the client of “AM” will be released from detention.
