The World Bank applied to AM Law Firm for receiving full and reliable legal information on Armenia's Agricultural Sector

The World Bank sent an official inquiry to AM Law Firm asking to provide information on the accessibility of the financial services of Armenia, which will have a great investment for preparing a report in 2019 on “Promoting Business Development in Agriculture” (EBA). The specialists of AM studied and analysed the legislation on the financial service sector of Armenia, as a result of which the World Bank received the necessary information on the legal regulation of financial service sector. The main aim of the inquiry presented by the World Bank is to study the legal grounds of each country, including the issues connected with the regulations of the control of loans and banking, micro-financial companies, financial cooperatives and others. In 2018 such inquiries will be held in about 82 countries. Comparative analysis will be done basing on the received information, and the final conclusions will be used in the report, by which the appropriate people will receive the information on the development of the agriculture and agribusiness for creating normative legal acts and new policy for formation of the policy at national level.

Since 2013 the World Bank has started implementing the project “Promoting Business Development in Agriculture” (EBA), in the frames of which reports are published in the agricultural field and its stimulating conditions in different countries of the world. The agricultural sector has a great role for two essential goals of the World Bank which are the eradication of extreme poverty and in the context of promoting universal well-being.
